New Ethiktool software

From now on, it is possible to submit applications in the detailed procedure using the Ethiktool! Further information is available here.

Please note

For full applications, a processing time of approx. 4 weeks is generally to be expected once complete, informative documents have been submitted. Data collection must not start while the assessment is ongoing. 
Due to the holiday period, processing times are currently longer.

Upon application, Bielefeld University Ethics Review Board (EUB) examines and evaluates research projects submitted by members and students of the University according to ethical criteria and delivers statements on individual research projects.

The Ethics Review Board assists the responsible scientists by advising and assessing ethical and, if necessary, legal aspects of research on and with humans. The EUB does not exercise the functions of a medical ethics committee. Independent of the evaluation by the Ethics Review Board, the scientists remain responsible for their actions.
